Obituary of Nina Stimac

Age 100, of Evart formerly of Mt. Morris, died at her home on Monday, August 11, 2014. A Mass of Christian burial will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, August 16, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm then from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Friday evening, family, friends, and parish will gather to pray the Rosary at 6:00 pm. On Saturday, Nina will be taken to the church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of mass at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be considered to Sacred Heart Church Evart- Altar Society envelopes are available at the funeral and the church. Nina was born November 7, 1913, in Belgrade, Yugoslavia the daughter of John and Stella Dalmatin (Ban). She and George Stimac were united in marriage August 15, 1936, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Nina belonged to Evart Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a member of the Croatian Club. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and playing cards. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are children, Mary Ann Krutka, George and wife, Rose Stimac and Robert and wife, Nancy Stimac; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; son-in-law, Andrew; grandson, Andrew John, brother and sister.
