Obituary of Richard Lee Woodworth

Age 74 of Mt. Morris died Monday, October 20, 2014, at Fostrian Manor in Flushing. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 4:00 pm at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services. Pastor Larry Servance will officiate. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 1:30 pm until time of service at 4:00 pm. Memorial donations may be directed to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Woody was born October 27, 1939, in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Rose Woodworth. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to Flint and began his career with General Motors; working at the V-8 Engine Plant for 30 years, until his retirement. He enjoyed mowing lawns, drinking coffee at Gillies Coney Island, running and riding his motorcycle. Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Oran and wife, Carol Woodworth and Richard and wife, Michelle Woodworth; three grandchildren, Gracie, Courtney and Brianna; mother of his children, Farileen Long; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and two brothers.
