Obituary of Rose Marie (Asaro) Welch

Age 76 of Mt. Morris, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am Monday, October 27, 2014, at Saints Charles and Helena Church, Rev. Fr. Bob McGraw will officiate, with cremation to follow. Family will receive at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services on Sunday, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. On Monday, Rose Marie will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be directed to McLaren Hospice. Rose Marie was born December 12, 1937, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter and Mary (DeGorgia) Asaro. She attended and graduated from St. Agnes High School in Flint. Rose Marie married Paul Dennis Welch Sr. on October 13, 1956, sadly he preceded her in death on September 11, 2009. Rosie worked for the Clio Schools in the cafeteria for many years, before owning and operating Rosie's Catering She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and line dancing. Left to cherish her memory are four son's Paul Jr. and wife, Debbie Welch, Joseph and wife, Lynda Welch, Michael Welch and Timothy Welch and fiancee, Linda Schultz; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Angeline Dailey and Virginia Vermette; brother, Sam Asaro and Dawn Parr; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Sr; two granddaughters; three brothers; and three sisters. The family would like to thank the Staff of McLaren Hospice, especially, Adria, Jayna, and Melissa.
