age 84 of Flint, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at her home. Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at West Carpenter Road Church of Christ. Pastor Patrick McGovern will officiate, with burial to follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services on Tuesday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On Wednesday, Illa will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Illa was born August 27, 1930, in Monet, Arkansas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James and Laura (McClellan) Stone. She and Amos J. Goodman were united in marriage on September 25, 1948. She worked as a Dietician at McLaren Hospital for 14 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of West Carpenter Road Church of Christ, where she volunteered in many capacities. Illa enjoyed quilting, gardening, and singing in a Bluegrass Band with her husband. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 66 years, Amos; three children, Janie Marie and husband, Dennis Bollinger, Lonnie Eugene and wife, Corine Goodman, and Linda Jeanette Johnson; six grandchildren; and six-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brother, Illie Stone; and sister, Thelma Bollin.
