Of Mt. Morris, age 56, died, Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Hurley Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Township. Pastor Dale Lewis will officiate with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Jeffrey was born February 19, 1959 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William and Mildred (Otte) Shriner. He worked for General Motors for 9 years. Jeffrey loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, canoeing, and playing pool. Jeffrey was a fun loving, sarcastic teaser, and kid at heart. He will be greatly missed! Left to cherish his memory are his mother: Mildred Shriner; sister: Linda and husband, Ralph Weible; brother: Douglas “Howard” Shriner; sister-in-law: Myra Shriner; sister-in-law: Sandy Shriner; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: William Shriner; and brother: Kenneth Shriner.
