age 93 of Mt. Morris, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 24, 2015, at the Irish House. Funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Township. Pastor Ryan Austin will officiate, with burial to follow in Taymouth Township Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Dorothy was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 13, 1921, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton and Grace (Klinger) Phinney. She and Allen Miller were united in marriage on October 7, 1940, in Flint, Michigan. Dorothy worked for the City of Coleman as the City Clerk for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, painting, crocheting, gardening and playing Yahtzee. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Gerry Harris; four grandchildren, Karon and husband, Tom Krause, Richard and wife, Brenda Harris, Duane Miller and Mark Miller; several great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Joe Phinney; sisters, Kathryn Brown, Nancy Stenger, Mary Hubbs and Jackie Ware; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allen; son, Butch; son-in-law, Robert; great-grandson, Joshua; four brothers; and one sister.
