Age 71 of Mt. Morris died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at his home. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Martin Funeral,Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Twp, with burial to follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery, with graveside Military Honors. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm.
Richard was born in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron and Virginia(Haynes) Swann. He and Sharon Fournier were united in marriage on September 1, 1962, in Flint. He proudly served his country in the united States Navy. He worked for many years at Highland Appliance, before retiring from Lowes. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Christine Swann; son, Bradley and wife, Shelly Swann; and daughter-in-law, Michelle Wade-Swann; five grandchildren, Marc
Swann, Emily Swann, Evin Swann, Brett Swann and Quinton Swann; sister, Bettie Trundy; brother, Phillip and wife, Kathy Swann; special family in Fort Wayne, Indiana;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon; son Rick; grandson, Bradley Jr,; and sister, Carolyn Calkins.
