Obituary of Kay Jobin

Age 57, of Mt. Morris, died Monday, August 24, 2015, at Genesys Health Park of Grand Blanc. The Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015, at 10:00 am at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Genesee Twp. Father Gary McInnis will officiate, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Kay’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday August 26, 2015, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday August 27, 2015, from 9:00 am until the time of service at 10:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contribution to Relay for Life of Monroe County. Kay was born March 27, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Dorothy (Cavanaugh) Eagan. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy class of 1975 and went on to receive her Associate Degree from Mott Community College. Kay and Michael Jobin were united in marriage June 14, 1980 in Redford Township. She worked for Genesee County Parks and Recreation at Crossroads Village, most recently in management, since 1999. She loved to visit lighthouses all over Michigan and she also enjoyed going to the Detroit Zoo and Toledo Zoo to see the polar bears. She was a very creative person always doing knitting, scrapbooking, cross stitch and painting. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and Cocker Spaniel, Colby Jack! Left to cherish her memory is her husband Michael Jobin; children Kristen Jobin, Amanda and husband, Michael McDonald, Chris Jobin and Kristen Jahn; one grandchild on the way; sister Diana Eagan; mother-in- law Doris Jobin; four brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. Kay was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Denny & Pat. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Genesys SICU for their compassionate care.
