Aaron Preston Pease was born on January 10, 1941, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Joseph and Leota (Murray) Pease. Educated locally, he graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1958. Shortly after graduation, Aaron heeded his call of duty and enlisted in the United States Army on December 15, 1958. Specialist Pease was stationed in the 38th Infantry and worked as a chef. During his time in service, he met, fell in love with, and married the love of his life, Heidemarie Samfass, on December 3, 1959, in Germany. The two were blessed with five children, to whom Aaron would cherish deeply. On February 26, 1962, Specialist Pease earned his honorable discharge. Upon his return to civilian life, Aaron worked as a sanitation specialist for General Motors as a member of the UAW Local 598. He dedicated 26 years to his work before he retired in 1990. Encouraged to provide a comfortable life for his wife and children, he would often provide by purchasing watches or other valuables and flipping them for profit.

As an avid outdoorsman, Aaron spent a large amount of his free time outside. He loved hunting for any animal he could in the Upper Peninsula, including deer, rabbit, pheasant, and much more. During the off-season, he would often spend time at Tipsico Lake and Houghton Lake fishing. Additionally, he found joy in dune buggying, riding quads at his property in Houghton Lake, and traveling in his motorhome with his wife and children. When he wasn’t enjoying his time in the woods or at the lake, he would frequent garage sales in the area, and help his children sell hot dogs at their concession trailer.

Aaron was also skilled with his hands, creating many beautiful pieces through various media. He would paint and rebuild vintage cars, including his beloved 1964 Pontiac GTO. He also created many wood pieces through his whittling and woodcarving skills. As he progressed through life, and it became harder for him to do some of his past favorite hobbies, he found joy in spending time at local coffee shops with his children, grandchildren, and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his five children: Aaron and wife, Wendy Pease, Rodney Pease, Christine and husband, Randy Gibson, Steven and wife, Michelle Pease, and Stephanie Hissong; his grandchildren: Rodney and wife, Jennifer, Austin and wife, Claudia, Peyton, Corinne, Ryan, Russell and wife, Brittany, Bianca and husband, Jake, Caleb, Derrick, Brittany, and Stanley; his great-grandchildren: Clayton, Becca, Madden, River, Rowan, Addyson, Tristan, Bella, Lily, Palmer, Oakley, London, Maverick, Liam, Breydon, Marlayna, Felicity, Eli, Journey, Cairo, Faith, and Skyler; his siblings: Gary, Roy, Betty, Cheryl, and Debbie; his extended family: Charity Pease, Annette Little, Todd and Shaina Hauk, and Bobby Berry; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Aaron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Heidemarie Pease; his parents: Pearl Joseph and Leota Pease; and his siblings: Delores, Jeanette, Paulette, Ronald, Joe, Brenda, and Donald.
