Barbara Nell Kilbourn

Age 80, of Clio, passed away May 21, 2025, with her family by her side. A celebration of life will take place at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 6:00 pm until the time of service at 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may consider memorial contributions to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to LaVigne Home for Compassionate Care in Burton. Barbara was born on January 16, 1945, in Portageville, Missouri; she is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Johnny and Mary (White) Brent. Educated locally, Barbara attended Bentley High School; she met Chester Kilbourn at the fence that ran along the backyards of Chester and her aunt’s home. The two dated, fell in love, and were married on October 17, 1962, at a little Baptist church in Millington; sadly, Chester preceded her in death on January 3, 2023. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. She loved celebrating the holidays and special events with her family and baking her award-winning pies. She also enjoyed traveling across the country with her husband, and the Holiday Ramblers, camping with their camping group from GM and visiting Walt Disney World.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Christopher and wife, Christie Kilbourn, Cassandra and husband, Erich Riehl; grandchildren: Rebecca, Brent, Briana, and Danielle; and many other family members and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Chester.
