Benjamin was a carpenter for General Motors. He was also self-employed as a builder. He built both of his homes, many commercial offices, and residential buildings. Benjamin married Patricia Kaczmarczyk on October 27, 1962. They spent their summers in Tawas at their Lake Huron home. There they enjoyed boating and bonfires on the beach with family and great friends. Benjamin loved the lake and everything outdoors. From a simple bike ride all the way to Jerry's Marina in Tawas, to jumping on his Harley Davidson, attending the events. With his Captain’s License, he delivered boats around the Great Lakes for Krenners of Bay City, as well as traveling on his own boat. Benjamin loved to talk. He loved a morning stroll on the Tawas State deck, visiting with all the boaters. Benjamin most cherished the bonfires on the beach with his family. He will be greatly missed by all. Left to cherish Benjamin’s memory are his children: Patty Ann (Jeff) Germaine, Suzanne Hoyt, Benny (Terri) Ewald; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Benjamin was preceded in death by his wife Patricia; son, Jerry Ewald; parents; siblings: Glenn, Delores, Eleanor, and Mae.
