Burton Putman

Of Vassar, age 68, died Monday, December 10, 2007 at St. Mary Hospital. The funeral service will take place 2:00 pm Friday December 14, 2007 at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Family will receive friends from 10:00am until time of service at 2:00pm Friday. Pastor David Sommers will officiate with burial to follow in Tuscola Township Cemetery. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to a family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.\ \ Burton was born October 29, 1939 in Vassar the son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin and Gladys (Dye) Putman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.\ \ He is survived by girlfriend of 33 years, Evelyn, 5 children; Burton Putman Jr., Angela Edwards, Tammy Putman, Laura (Putman), Brandy Putman, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren 4 stepchildren; Robert, Gordon, Tina, James and brother Walter.\ \ \ He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.\
