Callie Ikerd

Of Lapeer, age 92, died Friday, February 9, 2007 at the Lapeer Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Callieas family will be present to receive friends on Sunday from 5-8pm, Monday from 12-4pm and 6-8pm and Tuesday from 12 noon until the time of service at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Suncrest Medical Care Facility. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. \ \ Callie was born July 25, 1914 in Washington County, Alabama the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Israel and Mary Angeline (Yawn) Jordan. \ \ Left to cherish her memory are her daughter: Mary Jo and husband Phillip Costello, two daughters-in-law: Betty Carpenter and Nellie Carpenter, brother: Fred Jordan, four sisters: Bessie and husband Jack Miller, Clara Mahar, Susan Sumner, Myrtle Faulkner, 11 grandchildren: Ricky, Mark, Rochelle, Ralph, Robin, James and Janice, Jimmy, Phyllis, Phillip and Nancy, several great-grandchildren, a great great-granddaughter, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. \ \ Callie was preceded in death by her parents, two sons: James and John Carpenter, two brothers: John and James Jordan, two sisters: Mamie Beach and Nellie Odom and step-mother: Sarah Jordan.
