Carol “Faye” was born in Mt. Morris, on September 2, 1932, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton and Grace (Hunt) Russell. Educated locally, she attended Beecher High School, graduating with the Class of 1950. Faye met the love of her life, Stanley “Stu” Allard, when he was visiting his friend who lived next door to the grocery store that her family owned. The two were married on March 22, 1952, and their union was blessed with three wonderful children. Carol worked as the Registrar for the Fairwinds Girl Scout Council and was involved with the Girl Scouts for over 58 years, as well as the Co-Director of the day camp for girl scouts, and a lifetime member. Faye was an active member of Faith Methodist Church in Beecher for many years and now is a faithful member of the Thetford United Methodist Church for over 25 years. Reading her Bible and doing her devotions every morning with her beloved husband was how she enjoyed starting every day. Faye loved to camp and was a member of the Good Sam Club for 42 years. They traveled all over the country with their 5th wheel club. One of their favorite trips was when they visited San Antonio, Texas, and attended a rodeo. Faye was also a long-time member of the Thetford Senior and enjoyed playing cards of all kinds including Cribbage. Playing in the Senior Olympics at the Senior Center and medaling in Pinochle, were some of her favorite memories. Faye kept a meticulously clean home and took great pride in it. Knitting and baking were her passions-she knitted prayer shawls for people at church. She also made her entire family personalized stockings; and was known for her famous lemon meringue pie and cookies. Faye was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish Faye's memory is her beloved husband of 71 years, Stanley "Stu" Allard; children: Joe and wife, Debby Allard, David and wife, Kathy Allard, Cathy and husband, Sim Allard-Climie; grandchildren: Dan and wife, Nicole Allard, Jennifer Sanders, Jacob and wife, Lauren Allard, Jared Allard, Philip and wife, Renae Allard, Seth and wife, Alex Allard; great-grandchildren: Makayla, Paige, Chase, Elijah, Charlotte, Brady, Madison, Brooks, Jase, Rylee and Wyatt; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, and one brother.
