Carol J. Peterie

Age, 81, of Mt. Morris, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026. A funeral service will take place at 1:30pm on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services, 1194 E. Mt. Morris Rd. Mt. Morris, Michigan. Samantha Groom to officiate with a burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Carol's family will be present to receive friends and family at the funeral home on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 10:30am to the time of service at 1:30pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Carol was born on November 24, 1944, in Flint, Michigan, to Howard Plourde and Lorraine Eitel. She married the love of her life, David, on November 10, 1962, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beecher. Carol worked for Meijer for 30 years before retiring in 2000. She enjoyed going to farmers markets and flea markets, antiques, playing cards and board games, bingo, going to casinos, bowling, and taking road trips with her sister Judy. Carol was also a long-time member of the Moose Lodge in Flushing, where she often played darts with her friends.

Carol is survived by her three children, Kevin (Ramona), Kimberly (Scott), Kelly (Cynthia); her grandchildren, Chad, Kyle (Ashley), Brandy, Dustin (Crystal), Joshua (Alyssa), Jordan, Tyler (Meagen), Jacob, and Brandon; her great-grandchildren, Kylie, Konner, Donovan, Felicity, Julian, Aubrey, Austin, Lyla, Isabel, Richard, Dustin Jr, Thomas, and Ryan; her siblings, Judy (Ronnie) Root, Mike (Kiley) Becker, Debbie Moomey, Therese (Jay) Lewis, Mark (Wendy) Becker; her brother in-laws, Gary Peterie and Kenny (Alice) Peterie, and many beloved nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents, Howard and Lorraine; her brother, Howard Jr. (Bubby); her step-mother, Elizabeth; and her step-father, Ron.
