David Whitman

Age 67, of Flint died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at U of M Hospital of Ann Arbor. A private gathering has taken place with burial at Flint Memorial Park. David was born March 9, 1947, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Walter and Elma (Williams) Whitman. He married Beatrice Hooks on November 5, 2010, in Flint, Michigan. He worked for Buick for several years until retiring in 1997 and was a member of UAW Local #599. David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, watching TV and taking his dogs on walks. He is survived by his wife: Beatrice Hooks-Whitman; his sister, Shirley Rankin and brother, Ronald Whitman; stepdaughter, Stacey L. Hooks and three cousins, Robert Williams, William Williams and Tasha Williams.
