Age 44, of Mt. Morris, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at home. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Derek's tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com.
Derek Duane DePottey was born on January 11, 1982, in Flint, Michigan. He graduated from Flint Central High School in 2000. After graduation, he attended classes at Mott Community College and University of Michigan, Flint campus. He worked at Redwood Steakhouse for many years with assisting on their many catering services they provided.
Derek will be missed by many beloved family members and friends.
