Gene Henson

Gene Henson, age 58, of Mt. Morris, died Friday, July 25, 2014. A private gathering will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, with burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Gene was born March 23, 1956, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Clittis and Joann (Porter) Henson. Gene married Tina Marie Lupfer in Flint, in 1977; sadly, she preceded him in death on February 7, 2003. Gene worked as a Driver for AC for 31 years until retiring in 2005. Gene enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, having a good time and watching the Price is Right, Cops and The Waltons. Left to cherish his memory, three sons: Chris Henson, Scott Henson and girlfriend, Heather, Ryan and wife, Melissa Henson; seven grandchildren: Tyler, Riley, Chloe, Oakley, Brock, Hadden and Harley; brother, Sonny and wife, Kelly Henson; sister, Sarah Henson; sister-in-law, Carolyn White; best friends: Dave Berry and Darrell Hughley; and his family pet, Lady. Gene was preceded in death by his father and his wife, Tina.
