Gerald "Butch" LeVasseur II

Age, 65, of Mt. Morris passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place, and no further services are to take place at this time. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Gerald's tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com.

Gerald “Butch” Ludger LaVasseur II was born on November 21, 1960, in Flint, Michigan, to Mr. and Mrs. Gerald I and Dolores (Dooley) LaVasseur. Butch attended trade school, where he studied electrical work, and went on to dedicate more than 40 years to his career as a proud union electrician. Outside of work, Butch had a true passion for motorcycles. He enjoyed riding, working on them, and traveling throughout the United States to attend motorcycle races. His love of motorcycles brought him many memorable adventures and experiences that he cherished throughout his life.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother, James; aunt, Janette Dooley; and cousins: Robin and Michelle.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents: Gerald I and Dolores; and his siblings: Charles, Rebecca, Thomas and Katherine.

A Celebration of life will take place at a later date.
