Jack Simons was born on August 6, 1958, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene and Dolores (Lindsey) Simons. Educated locally, Jack graduated from Beecher High School in 1977. Immediately after graduating, Jack began working for General Motors in 1978 as part of the Local UAW #651. He worked for General Motors for 30 years until his well-earned retirement in 2008. Maintaining a strong work ethic, Jack owned and operated his own tree service company, A & A Tree Service. He would then run the company for another 20 years, becoming well known in the community for his amazing work.

In his free time, Jack enjoyed spending time outdoors. He would often go deer hunting at Sand Lake with his father before his passing, as well as bow hunting with his daughter Roxanna before she passed. Jack also found enjoyment in fishing. When he wasn’t spending time in the great outdoors, he could be found listening to music, specifically Phil Collins, or watching the news. Most of all, Jack’s greatest comfort was spending time with his family. Jack was blessed with three beautiful children, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He brought light to all who knew him, as he was one to make his presence known to everyone around him.

Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters: Amie and husband, Ronald Shanks, Dream Simons; his five grandchildren: Austin and wife, Lilly Newman, Ashley and husband, Rayshon Cash, Allison Brink, Sierra Young, Alexis Brink; his nine great-grandchildren: Savannah, Gabriella, Madalynn, Jaxsin, Thomas, Remington, Luca, LayLay, Braelynn; his mother: Dolores Simons; his three brothers: Dave Simons, Eugene Simons, Marvin Simons; his canine companion: Buddy; his closest friend: Darrel McManus; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his father: Eugene Simons; his daughter: Roxanna Brink; his great-grandson: Maliki; and his two sisters: Joann Michael, and Linda Noyce.
