Jacob Alan Sarver was born April 7, 1984, in Flint, Michigan, the beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick and Stephine (Szemites) Sarver. He graduated from Genesee High School in 2002 and went on to build a career as a sales professional with AT&T. Jacob devoted a decade of his life to being a stay at home father, a role he embraced wholeheartedly before recently returning to work at AT&T. He found great joy in life’s simple pleasures which included reading, listening to music, working on cars, and watching sports, but nothing meant more to him than time spent with his family. A devoted father, Jacob eagerly shared in his daughter Isabelle’s interests, making her passions his own. Together they explored new foods, painted, built Lego creations, watched YouTube, played video games, and collected Pokémon cards. These moments were among his most cherished, and he treasured every second of them. Jacob had a curious mind and a love of learning, often delighting others by sharing random facts he picked up through his reading. He will be remembered for his warmth, his dedication to family, and the joy he found in life’s everyday moments.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Sarah; his daughter: Isabelle; his parents: Patrick and Stephine; his brother: Joshua (Bryan); his sister: Julie (Matthew); his aunts: Kera (John) Smith, Angela (Robert) Harrington; his uncles: Brandon (Melissa) Szemites, Michael (Laura) Szemites, Paul (Carla) Sarver; his grandparents: Jack and Christine Flynn; and many beloved extended family and friends.
Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents: Steve Szemites and Daeanna Orvis.
