Jeannie Mecum

Jeannie Mae Mecum, age 57, of Flint died Monday, June 13, 2016. In accordance with Jeannie’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service in her honor scheduled at a later date. Jeannie was born October 9, 1958, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Irvin and the Onalee (Scharrer) Thayer. In her free time, Jeannie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, She was employed by GNC as a sales assistant in Flint for many years. She is survived by four daughters: Holly Jean Burl, Harmony Anne Mecum, Heidi Mae Hayik and Athena Thayer Buttler; three sisters: Cheryl (Dan) Drake, Christine Hammersley, and Lorie Morse; grandchildren, Melina, Joseph, Julianna, Tyler, Matthew, Anthony, Caine, Alex, Caden Danielle, Trinity, and Roselyn. Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Harmony Mecum, and her brother John Thayer.
