Age 70, of Davison, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021, at McLaren Lapeer Health Care. In accordance with Jill's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jill's life will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be shared by visiting Jill's tribute page at martinfuneralhome.com Jill was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on February 2, 1950, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore L and Betty Lou (Morgan) Hopkins. Jill graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1968. She attended Olivet Nazarene University but earned her bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan University. Mt. Morris Middle School is where she taught special education classes for many years. Jill loved to have fun and loved to be around young people. Campfires with her friends were also special times for her. She organized family reunions with her extended family and siblings' families. She was active in Richfield Church of the Nazarene and taught Sunday School and directed Christmas programs for young people. Photography, scrapbooking, and collecting antiques occupied her spare time. Jill's home showed her love for antiques and she especially enjoyed visiting antique stores with friends. She was the best Aunt in the world. Jill made everyone feel welcome, was a joy to be around and her genuine smile lit up the room. Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Jack, and wife Cindy Hopkins, Bill, and wife Carol Hopkins; nieces and nephews: Traci Jane, Lisa, and husband Ben, Jeremy, Nicole, and husband Gregg, Sara and husband Kevin, Joe, and wife Kathy, and Joshua; great-nieces and nephews: Ashlynn, Madelynn, Brooklynn, Emily, Ben, Logan, Colt, Cassie, Josh Jr., Braden, Alexis, Clayton, and Carter: three great-great-nieces: many important cousins and special friends.
