JoAnn Mowl

JoAnn Mowl, age 86, of Mt. Morris, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Angel Manor in Clio. A memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services, 1194 E. Mt. Morris Rd. Mt. Morris, MI. JoAnn’s family will be at the funeral home to receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on JoAnn’s tribute page on martinfuneralhome.com.

JoAnn was born March 3, 1940, in Flint; she is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Louis and Lanora (Long) LaBean. JoAnn attended the Holy Family Catholic Elementary School until 8th grade. From there she graduated from Grand Blanc High School with the class of 1958. She married the love of her life, Buck on May 23, 1959. Sadly, Buck preceded her in death on February 22, 1977. After raising their four children JoAnn began working as a custodian for the Mt. Morris School District, retiring after several years of dedicated service. She was an amazing mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. JoAnn enjoyed spending her time making greeting cards, crafting, sewing, quilting, gardening and cooking. JoAnn was a kindhearted woman, who could bring a smile out of everyone she met.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Alan Mowl, Lori Bosak, Andrea (John) Robbins; four grandchildren: Melissa (John) Bierwirth, Eric (Elizabeth) Snyder, Jordan (Steven) Waterman, and David Mowl; six great-grandchildren: sister, Donna Tabit; and many other family members and friends.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Buck; son, Darren; four sisters: (Phyllis, Judy, Dianne, Cheryl), and many special in-laws.

JoAnn’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Angel Manor in Clio and the McLaren Hospice Team for all of the love and care they gave JoAnn.
