John Flynn

Age 77, of Flint, died Monday, November 28, 2016, at his home. A funeral service will take place at Martin Funeral, Cremation, and Tribute Services-Mt. Morris, on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 2:00 pm. Pastor Rene Garcia will officiate with burial to follow in Cottage Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 3, 2016, from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm. John was born October 9, 1939, in Flint, Michigan, to Mr. & Mrs. John and Florence (Argue) Flynn. He attended Beecher Schools. He and Joanne Marie Heit were united in marriage on April 15, 1961 in Flint, MI. John work in construction as a bricklayer for many years. He was an outdoors man, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Joanne Flynn; five children: Penny Brewer and Joe, John J. and wife, Wanda Flynn, Keith A. and wife, Tina Flynn, Scott A. Flynn, and Michelle M. Ellsworth and Jim; seven grandchildren: Todd and wife, Nichole, Keith and wife, Charna, Angel, Ashley and Chad, Tiffany and Ryan, Stephen, and Tonya and husband, Ronnie; seven great-grandchildren; and sister: Ruth Marshall. John was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Janet Marshall, Ellen and husband Ron Thoune, and great-granddaughter, Alyveah.
