Judy Franklin

Age 75, of Mt. Morris, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025, at McLaren – Flint. In accordance with Judy’s wishes, cremation has taken place; there are no further services at this time. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Judy’s tribute page on martinfuneralhome.com.

Judy was born in Flint on July 27, 1949; she is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Herbert and Thelma (George) Marshall. Educated locally, Judy graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1967. Shortly after graduating, Judy would earn her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan – Flint. She worked on the production line for General Motors for 30 years until retiring. During her 30-year career, Judy worked at the Buick City and Pontiac locations. She was offered and accepted a position at the Saturn Plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee, where she worked for 15 years before returning to Michigan to work and retire from the Lansing Plant. In her free time, Judy loved reading, traveling, cooking, and getting together with family and friends. She was incredibly kind, selfless, and gave to everyone in need, including animals and many charities. She was a long-time member of the Mt. Morris Methodist Church in Mt. Morris.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters: Jean Marshall, and Jane (Scott) Shively; nieces: Terri (Tony) Craft, and Alison (Michael) Wolgast; great-nieces and nephews: Molly, Melanie, Bryan Craft, Harper and Mason Wolgast; her dog, April; and many other family members and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her former husband, Rex Franklin.
