Linda Kay Harden was born on October 24, 1955, in Bay City, Michigan, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James and Alberta (Abbott) Badour. Linda graduated from Beecher High School in 1973. For many years, she worked as a teacher’s assistant for the Beecher Community School District. On February 22, 1975, Linda married the love of her life, James Edward Harden Sr, in Flint, Michigan. The two were blessed with four beautiful children, to whom Linda would cherish deeply. When James was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, Linda became the primary caretaker for her husband. She would spend nearly 15 years caring for her husband. Sadly, James would precede Linda in passing on October 8, 2016.
In her free time, Linda enjoyed attending Sunday morning church and traveling with her husband. After his passing, Linda found joy in playing Bingo, watching the Detroit Lions, doing diamond art paintings, and watching true crime movies and documentaries. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time and creating new memories with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children: Angela Harden, James Harden Jr and wife, Annette, Roberta Harden, Ed Harden; her siblings: Joyce and husband, Mike Davis, Leroy and wife, Bernetta Badour, Alfred Badour, Patty Webster, Joey and wife, Carrie Badour; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog: Scooby Doo.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years: James Harden; her parents: James and Alberta Badour; her two great-granddaughters: McKenzie and MaKayla; and her sister-in-law: Danette Badour.
