Louann Kay Avery

Louann Kay Avery, residing in Bear Lake, Michigan, are saddened to announce her passing on November 25, 2025, at the age of 72. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Samantha Groom officiating with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.  Louann's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on on Friday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Saturday morning, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Louann was held by the love of God, the love of her family and the love of all of those who carried her in their hearts.

Loann was born in Flint, Michigan, on August 28, 1953, to Lloyd and Arlene Avery. The second of seven children, Louann spent her youth in Florida before returning to Michigan where she attended Mount Morris High School and obtained her GED.

Mom lived a simple life, striving to be the kind-hearted family anchor... looking out for others instead of herself. However, Louann, was known for her self-reliance and determination which bolstered her owner-operated businesses, Lou's Flowers of Mt. Morris and Pine Hills Golf Range of Clio. In 2018, after the sale of her businesses, she retired. Louann was previously married in 1970, she then met her current husband in 1980 and they began their 45-year journey together.

Louann is survived by her husband, four children, (10) grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, siblings, and their extended families.

Louann is preceded in death by her parents and infant brother.
