Louise Catherine Zwier

Age 92, of Dearborn Heights, formerly of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026. In accordance with her wishes, burial is to take place at Curlew Hills Memorial Garden in Palm Harbor, Florida. Louise Catherine Zwier was born on September 7, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John and Loretta (Scheihoffer) Quigley. Louise was a graduate of David L. Mackenzie High School in Detroit in 1950. She worked for many years at Jacobson’s department store. Louise would work at the Dearborn location before moving to Florida in 1985, where she would transfer to another local location. She would work there for many years until the store closed in 2002. She met, fell in love with, and married the love of her life, Donald Zwier, on September 11, 1954. The two were blessed with four children, to whom Louise would cherish deeply. Sadly, Donald preceded Louise in passing on May 26, 2013. In her free time, Louise enjoyed maintaining an active lifestyle. She would spend a large amount of her time volunteering, including assisting the elderly and at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida. Additionally, Louise found joy in cooking, golfing, roller blading, and sewing. When she wasn’t on her feet, she would enjoy watching Dancing with the Stars, as well as the Bachelor and the Bachelorette.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: James Zwier, Denise Zwier, Cheryl Solakian, Tina Harwood; her six grandchildren: Shane, Darren, Brandon, Nichole, Stephanie, Ryan; her six great-grandchildren: Maddalyn, Savannah, Grayson, Kenshin, Lucas, Stephen; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband: Donald Zwier; her parents: John and Loretta Quigley; and her siblings: Jack, Loretta, Clara, and Margaret.
