Age 94, of Farwell, peacefully passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at home with family by her side. A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services, 1194 East Mt. Morris Road, Mt. Morris, Michigan. Pastor Cory Snyder to officiate, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family will be present to receive friends from 11:00am until the time of the service at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to the American Legion Post 558. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Mary’s tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com.

Mary Ann Worden was born on March 3, 1932, in Durand, Michigan, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee and Ella (Behnke) Hall. Mary attended Farwell High School, graduating in 1950. She worked as a sales clerk for many companies throughout her time in the workforce, including Michael Lynn Lighting Gallery, Vic Bond Sales, and most notably, Chain Paint & Wallpaper, earning her well-earned retirement in 1993. Mary met, fell in love with, and married the love of her life, John Worden, on March 10, 1951, in Flint, Michigan. The two shared 41 years of happiness, five children, and many memories they both would cherish forever. Sadly, John preceded her in passing on May 16, 1992.

Living a social lifestyle, Mary was a member of the Clare-Farwell American Legion Post 558 and the VFW Post 3039 for over 10 years, where she loved to get together with friends. Additionally, she would frequently visit Soaring Eagle Casino to socialize and play her favorite slot machines. She also loved attending parties, no matter who was there or what the occasion was. Mary was a very good cook and baker, being known for her famous baked beans and sugar cookies. There were many times at family gatherings or at potluck dinners at the VFW hall her cookies would be auctioned off, as they were loved by so many people. She would also sell her homemade loaves of bread to the neighborhood moms for one dollar. In her free time, she enjoyed watching different gameshows, especially Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right.

Most of all, Mary had a kind and generous heart. She would help anyone and everyone she could, no matter the task. She would give the neighborhood kids haircuts when needed and utilize her skills to help fix almost anything she could.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Mary and husband, Don Bunt, Christine and husband, Lance Bobb, John and wife, Deborah Worden, Steven and wife, Theresa Worden; her 13 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren; her 25 great-grandchildren; her 7 great-great-grandchildren; her siblings: Lee Hall, Art and wife, Rosemary Hall, Bill and wife, Tess Hall, Milly Anderson, and Catherine “Kitty” and husband, John McNeil; her long-time partner, Jack Albee, and his three children: Helen, Carol, and Rodney; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Worden; her parents, Lee and Ella Hall; her son, Raymond Worden; and her siblings: Rose, Wanda, Jerry, Jim, and Patty.

Mary will be remembered for her warm smile, her intelligence, and her giving personality.
