Michael "Bandit" Barrett

Age 59, of Burton, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, in Flint. A Celebration of life will take place, 6:00pm, Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services, 1194 E. Mt. Morris Rd. Mt. Morris, Michigan, 48458. Michael’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Wednesday from 3:00pm until 6:00pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family. Michael was born on April 2, 1967, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger and Penny Jean (Jones) Scott. Educated locally, Bandit attended Beecher High School. He had a love for being outdoors, Bandit enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, riding his Harley, deer hunting, and fishing. He also had a passion for playing his bass guitar, building houses and was an aspiring tattoo artist. He met and married the love of his life Brandi, on August 1, 2026, in Burton.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brandi; his children; mother, Penny Jean Scott; four sisters: Tammy (Joe) Lash, Rebecca Lechuga, Denise Scott, Sarah Bradford; grandchildren; many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his dad, Roger Scott; son, Jason Barrett; stepson, Jordan Millard; and his brother-in-law, Greg Bradford Jr.
