Michael William Madison, age 69, of Marietta, Georgia, formerly of Mt. Morris, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024. Michael's family will be present to receive friends at Landmark Baptist Church located at 701 Field Rd., Clio on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm; with a Graveside Gathering immediately following at Oakwood Cemetery on Stanley Rd. in Mt. Michael was born in Flint, on February 16, 1955, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph and Pauline (Becker) Madison. Educated locally, Michael graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1973; from there he would go on to Calvin College in Grand Rapids, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Shortly after graduating, Michael would move to Marietta, Georgia, where he would work in the Circulation Department for The Marietta Newspaper. In his free time, Michael enjoyed playing board games especially BattleShip. He also enjoyed playing Yahtzee, golf, baseball, tennis, ping pong, and racketball. He enjoyed making and racing pinewood derby cars with his brother, Kevin dating back to when he was in the Boy Scouts. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews. Michael also enjoyed planning family vacations and stealing the erasers off of pencils while doodling.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother: Kevin Madison; sister, Paula (Gary) Montague; nieces and nephews: Jason (Elizabeth) Montague, Katie (Sam) Uhl, Daniel Montague, Robert (Alyssa) Montague, Emily Montague, Anna Montague, Elliana Montague; great-nieces and nephews: Gavin, Isaac, Landen, Callie, Madison, Declan ; special friends: Duane Koontz, John Herman, and Jeff Baker.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Pauline Madison; grandparents: Walter and Hazel Becker, and Clyde and Anna Madison; special aunt and uncle, Donald and Geraldine Becker.
