Michael William Stewart Jr.

Age 45, of Grand Blanc, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Hurley Medical Center with family and friends by his side. A memorial service will take place at a later date. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Michael’s tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com.

Michael William Stewart Jr. was born on April 10, 1981, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. Michael Stewart Sr. and Mrs. Marjorie (Havlichek) Watson. Educated locally, Michael graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1999. Shortly after high school, he attended the University of Michigan Flint campus and obtained his bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology in 2003. Michael worked as a store manager for Dollar Tree for many years.

In his free time, he enjoyed bowling as a member of the Flint All Star team. Additionally, he was involved in various pinball tournaments. Michael played for 10 to 15 years, traveling to many tournaments and competitions all across the United States. He also would put his knowledge to the test by competing in trivia almost every week. Michael was a member of the trivia team, “Rent This Space”. Every Monday, he would play trivia with his aunt, Judy Stewart Brady, and many other fellow team members at Timothy’s Pub. When he wasn’t competing in various activities, he enjoyed playing card games, such as Euchre. Michael also had a love for roller coasters and he would frequently visit Cedar Point and other amusement parks. If Michael wanted to relax, he enjoyed watching Seinfeld, Jeopardy or other game shows, cheering on the Detroit Red Wings, and listening to one of his favorite bands, Nine Inch Nails.

Left to cherish his memory are his father, Michael Stewart Sr. and wife, Faye; his brother, Matt Stewart and wife, Paige; his partner, Kenny Wressell; his aunts and uncles: Judy Stewart Brady, Jim, Frank and wife, Linda, and Judy Havlichek; his nephew, Owen Stewart; his step-sister, Barbara Murray and husband, Nick; his long-time roommate, Killian Rivas; his beloved canine companion, Taki; as well as many cherished friends and teammates.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Watson and husband, Bob; and his beloved childhood cockatiel, Mickey.
