Neal McClure

Age 84, of Mt. Morris, passed away at home with his family by his side. A funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Jim Watson officiating with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Neal’s family will be present at the funeral home on Tuesday, to receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, on Wednesday, from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm; and on Thursday, from 10:00 am until the time of funeral at 11:00 am. Neal was born on May 24, 1941, in Flint; he is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Eugene and Helen (Millen) McClure. Neal was extremely proud to be one of his parents 13 children. Educated locally, Neal graduated from Bentley High School, with the class of 1959. Neal met the love of his life, Edna Borst, the two dated, fell in love and was united in marriage on February 19, 1968 in Burton. Neal would begin working for General Motors; during his 37-year career at the Flint Truck and Bus he worked in many capacities with his last position being the tire repair technician. He was a long-time member of UAW local #598. In his free time, Neal loved spending time with his family, and friends. He also enjoyed woodworking and bowling. No matter the weather, Neal enjoyed riding his motorcycle, 4-wheeler, jet ski and snowmobile.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Edna; four children: Sheri (Earl) Key, Brian (Delinda) McClure, Keith (Beverly) McClure, and Shannon (Jason) Huffman; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Neal was preceded in death by parents; brothers: William, Joseph, Lewis, Leo, Harold, Harry, and Albert; sisters: Patricia, Ruth, Florence Alberta, and Wanda; and his daughter-in-law, Cynthia.

The family would like to thank you to the staff at Wellspring Lutheran Hospice, as well as Shannon, Jason and Victoria for the love and care they gave.
