Richard James Ford

Age 69, of Mt. Morris, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family on Richard’s tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com.

Richard James Ford was born on September 13, 1956, in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lester and Betty (Tracy) Ford. Educated locally, Richard graduated from Beecher High School in 1974. He worked as a landscaper for many years, as well as the janitorial department for Lakeville Schools. He met, fell in love with, and married the love of his life, Susan Ford, on July 12, 2002. Sadly, she preceded him in death on January 13, 2024. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, listening to music, assembling model cars, as well as playing Poker with his friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his three children: Amanda Ford, Richard Ford Jr, Onalee Heath; his two sisters: Sandra Lee, Frances Ford; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 20 years: Susan Ford; his parents; and his brother: Lester W. Ford.
