Rick "Crash" Gilliam

Age 57, of Clio, passed away at home Thursday, February 12, 2026. A Celebration of life will take place 3:00 pm, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Mrs. Samantha Groom officiating. In accordance with Rick's wishes, cremation will take place. Rick’s family will be present at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 2:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Rick’s tribute page on martinfuneralhome.com.

Rick was born on November 6, 1968, in Flint; he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph and Linda (Gilbird) Gilliam. Educated locally, Rick graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1986. Shortly after graduating, Rick would begin working for General Motors on the production line. He would work there until retiring from Nexteer in 2010. In his free time, Rick enjoyed golfing, and putt-putt golf. Most of all, he loved spending time with his best friends and grandchildren. Rick also enjoyed going to car shows, working in his garage, having a Coke and smoking a Marlboro Light.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Brandon and wife, Brittany Gilliam; four grandchildren: Bryson, Brayden, Brexton and Brynleigh; sister, Terri Marsh, brother, Joe (Gina) Gilliam; best friend, Dean Gervais; and many other family members and friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
