Rita Jane Burleson

Age 72, of Mt. Morris, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be considered to Vision Pointe Assembly of God in Otisville, Michigan. Rita Jane Burleson was born on November 17, 1952, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman and Mildred (Santie) Hicks. Educated locally, Rita was a graduate of Beecher High School. She was a longtime member of Vision Pointe Assembly of God. She would love to spend her free time crocheting and sewing. Rita would use her love for these crafts for good by crafting bags for the homeless. Most of all, Rita loved spending time with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children: John Burleson III, Kandice Bustamante, and husband, Mario Figueroa, Brandy Burleson; her three grandchildren: Zachary Gower, Tyler Purdey, Mario Figueroa Jr.; and her dearest friend: Karen.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister: Rhonda Hicks.
