Rita Cherwinski

Rita Josephine Cherwinski, age 89, of Mt. Morris, died Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Gross Assisted Living. In accordance with Rita’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Services will be scheduled at a later date. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to Angelic Heart Hospice. Rita was born March 14, 1928, in Flint, Michigan. The daughter of the late Louis and Bertha (Kurtz) Weissert. She married Stanley Cherwinski on October 14, 1947. Sadly, he preceded her in death on August 21, 1982. She is survived by children: Annette J. White, Judy Ehrmantraut, Nancy Shannon, Beverly Calkins, Mary Ellen Keys, Robert Cherwinski, Gerald Cherwinski, Douglas Cherwinski, and Paul Cherwinski; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Stanley Cherwinski, son, Christopher Cherwinski, siblings: Norman Weissert, Donald Weissert, Dorothy Weissert, Ardel Weissert, Ralph Weissert, Helen Humerickhouse and Ruth Bully.
