Robert "Bob" Dekoski

Age 89, of Mt. Morris, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025 at Maple Woods Manor. Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 11110 Saginaw Street, Mt. Morris, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Roy Horning to officiate with cremation to follow. Family will be present to receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral mass at 11:00 am. Robert was born in Ruth, Michigan, and was a graduate of Ubly High School. He moved to Mt. Morris and began working for General Motors. While working at the plant, he started a business called Bob’s Pump Service. After 18 years, he left the shop. In 1973, he bought a water well machine and started his own business called Dekoski Well Drilling, which he operated until two and a half years ago.

Robert is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church Knights of Columbus, Holy Family Council #4285, the Leon Satkowiak 4th Degree Assembly #0524 in Mt. Morris. He loved hunting, bowling, and playing Euchre. He was married to Deloris Cook for 68 years, and they were blessed with 4 children.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife: Deloris Dekoski; his four children: Duane Dekoski, Sharon Estep, Karl and wife, Kelly Dekoski, Lisa and husband, Randy Molzer; his grandchildren: Stephanie and husband, Pete Filpansick, Daniel and wife, Sarah Dekoski, Jozsua Estep, Travis Estep, Kimberly and husband, Joe Dixon, Kayla and husband, Jeff Bradybaugh, Stephen Molzer, Samantha Molzer; his great-grandchildren: Lauren Dekoski, Lexie Dekoski, Lydia Dekoski, Ace Estep, Kendall Dixon, Jessie Dixon, Ryan Molzer; and his siblings: Betty Maurer, Ray Dekoski, Phyllis and husband, Bob Mazure, Ethel Brownstien, Calvin and wife, Jan Dekoski.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents: Cass and Mary Dekoski; and his 3 siblings: Charlotte Dekoski, Wilford Maurer, and Stan Brownstien.
