Ronald Hugh Keimer was born on December 17, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to Hugh and Shirley (Lieckfelt) Keimer. At the age of 19, Ron proudly joined the United States Army, where he served as a paratrooper and clerk. During his time in the military, he earned his GED and had the opportunity to travel to many parts of the world. Following his military service, Ron began a long and dedicated career of 28 years with General Motors and later Delphi, working as a boiler operator. In his free time, Ron enjoyed many outdoor activities. He loved playing baseball, hunting, and practicing outdoor survival skills. He also enjoyed watching classic western movies and spending time playing his guitar. Ron was a simple man at heart who found his greatest joy in the outdoors. Whether canoeing down the Au Sable River, boating, fishing, or camping, he truly loved it all.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife: Charmaine; his children: Dan (Jill), Laura (Mike), Jeremy (Chris), Angie (Darrin) and Steve; his grandchildren: Nick, Ryan (Ashley), Nicole (Duane), Mike (Trish), Ben, Alex (Riley), Ashley (Ken), Logan, Tara, Trent, and Tricia; his great-grandchildren: Guinness, Kasch, Mila, Crue, Ryder, Asher, and Xander; his beloved sisters: Judy and Cherie (Jack); and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents: Hugh and Shirley; his brother: Dale; his sister in-law: Rosemary; his brother in-law: Roger; and his nephew: Scott.
