Sharon Ouellette

Age 85, of Mt. Morris passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Stonegate Health Campus in Lapeer. A funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Friday, September 25, 2026, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 5073 Daly Blvd, Flint, Michigan 48506. Rev. Morgan Garrett officiating with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery in Mt. Morris. Sharon’s family will be present to receive family and friends at the church on Friday morning, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may consider memorial contributions to St. Mark Lutheran Church. Envelopes are available at the church. Sharon was born June 27, 1941, in Filion, Michigan, she is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Steve and Matilda (Schneider) Gintner. She married Robert J. Ouellette at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Otisville on April 16, 1987. Sadly, Robert “Bob” preceded her in death on June 24, 1995. Sharon worked on the line for Buick for over 28 years before retiring and was a longtime member of UAW Local #599. In her free time, Sharon loved spending time with her family; she also enjoyed traveling and going on Mystery Dinners with the senior center. She was a longtime member and volunteer of St. Mark Lutheran Church, as well as a volunteer at the Franklin Avenue Mission.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children: Lori (Tom) Thiell, and Mike Schmidt; two stepsons: Robert (Lente) Ouellette and David (Kim) Ouellette; 11 grandchildren: Michelle (Matt) Alvis, Shaun (Katie) Thiell, Katherine (Jeff) Bussards, Michael (Rachel) Schmidt, Joseph (Presley) Schmidt, Analise (Gage) Holden, Dustin (Olivia) Ouellette, Megan, Damian, Gideon, and Gabriel Ouellette; great-grandchildren: Camdyn, Caitlyn, Coltyn, Landon, Jordan, Jonas, Nora, Joseph, Ella, Isabella, Keilyn, and Thea; special friend, Pat Adams; and many other family members and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; brother, Gary and her sister, Jean.
