Obituary of Evelyn St. John
Age 68, of Clio, died Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Angel Manor with her family by her side. In accordance with Evelyn's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later time. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on Evelyn's tribute wall at martinfuneralhome.com.
Evelyn "Eve" was born in Flint on May 22, 1955, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley and Frances (Lapak) Golis. Educated locally, Eve attended Beecher High School and graduated with the Class of 1973. Eve married Michael St. John, on April 11, 1997. Eve was employed with the State of Michigan at MESC for more than 20 years and was the best typist at the agency. She was a longtime member of Dom Polski. She loved going on deer cruises with her husband, Mike, playing Euchre with friends, gardening, mowing her large lawn, going out to eat with her MESC friends, and telling jokes to anyone who would listen. Eve also enjoyed singing the theme songs to old television shows such as Green Acres, playing KENO, and Break the Box with her husband Mike. She will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish Eve's memory are her husband, Mike St. John; stepsons: Jason St. John and Steve St. John; brother, Stanley; sister, Joann and husband, Ed; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and many, many dear friends.
Eve was preceded in death by her parents.
